A video appeared on social media showing a gas well incident at a gas field in Boysun. The Ministry of Energy commented on the situation.
According to the information, on November 2nd, a temporary extinguishing of the previously lit flame of the gushing natural gas flow was observed at the 202nd gas well of the “M-25” field in the Boysun district. According to experts, this phenomenon occurred as a result of geological processes occurring at the deposit.
After that, in order to prevent the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere, the natural gas was quickly reignited.
The process is a standard method for preventing environmental pollution and fully complies with international industrial safety requirements. Currently, the situation is stable and is being monitored by specialists.
This is a normal situation related to the ongoing work on regulating the deposit, and no extraordinary circumstances have been recorded. The incident is not related to the earthquake recorded on November 3, 2025, at 01:29, the Ministry of Energy concluded.
