A group of 50 pilgrims were unable to return to Uzbekistan due to problems with a travel agency, reports “Dunyo”.

Citizens who went to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah encountered problems on their way back. The travel agency did not provide them with return tickets. Elderly people in Mecca were unable to return home on Centrum Air’s previously scheduled flight.

Uzbek diplomats intervened in the situation after one of the citizens’ appeals. It turned out that problems with partners prevented the travel agency from purchasing air tickets on time. Diplomats managed to accommodate the pilgrims in a hotel, later they returned to Tashkent, departing from Medina on a Fly Khiva flight.

As a reminder, flights with pilgrims will begin operating from another airport in Tashkent. It is planned that the air harbor will begin operating in the near future.
