An explosion at a scrap metal collection site in Kazakhstan resulted in the deaths of three Uzbek citizens
The investigation is examining the circumstances of the emergency.

В Алматинской области Казахстана произошла трагедия — трое граждан Узбекистана погибли в результате мощного взрыва на пункте приёма металла. Инцидент случился 11 сентября на предприятии LGN Metal, расположенном в селе Байсерке Илийского района. Информацию подтвердили в Агентстве по миграции Узбекистана.
According to the investigation, the incident happened during the unloading of scrap metal. The site’s owner, Amirbek Sherbayev, suggests that old ammunition or mines from warehouses might have been included in the delivered metal.
Regarding the death of the individuals, the police have opened a criminal case for breach of labour protection regulations. Law enforcement and special services continue their investigation at the scene.
The migration department is processing the documents for sending the bodies to their homeland. The families of the deceased are being supported by the assigned staff.
