A pedophile who raped a 7-year-old girl was sentenced in Namangan, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.
According to the court verdict, the man was found guilty under part 1 of Article 112 (Threat of murder or use of violence), part 4 of Article 118 (Rape), and part 4 of Article 119 (Sexual satisfaction of sexual needs in a distorted form with the use of violence) of the Criminal Code against a minor.
He was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Serving the first 3 years of the sentence in prison, and the remaining part of the sentence in a special regime colony. In addition, on the basis of paragraph “a” of part 3 of Article 34 (Recurrence of crimes) of the Criminal Code, the man was recognized as a particularly dangerous recidivist.
The parties have the right to appeal and protest the judgment of the court of first instance in the appellate/cassation procedure and within the time limits established by law in the Namangan Regional Court, — the statement said.
It’s worth noting that earlier, “Milliy tiklanish” faction member Dilnoza Azizova reacted to the situation, also describing situations where criminals are released early for good behavior and proposing to introduce life imprisonment for persons who commit sexual acts against minors.
The deputy stated that “this is not just the disgrace of one pedophile, but the face of the system”, which, according to Dilnoza Azizova, justifies such crimes with light punishments, calling them “educational measures”, and noted that it is time to tighten punishments in legislation to protect children.
As a reminder, an incident that caught the attention of the elected representative occurred in the Yangikurgan district of Namangan region. A 38-year-old man came to his uncle’s wedding, where the house owner’s seven-year-old granddaughter was also present. The suspect defrauded the child and committed sexual acts against her.
The injured girl is currently in intensive care. Law enforcement officers found out that the detainee had already served two prison sentences for similar crimes, including rape and sexual assault.
The Supreme Court explained why the repeatedly convicted man got out of prison early. The repeatedly convicted criminal served only part of his sentence for a particularly serious crime.
