People were kept in inhuman conditions and subjected to humiliation.

In Ukraine, law enforcement officers uncovered a group of individuals who held 13 Uzbek citizens in slavery, according to the press service of the Kyiv region prosecutor’s office.

According to the information, the offenders found their citizens outside of Ukraine. At the same time, it was mainly selected citizens who were in a vulnerable situation due to lack of housing, work, and difficult material conditions, who were deceived and lured to the territory of the Kyiv region.

After that, the offenders took people under their complete control: even going to the toilet was allowed according to the established schedule. Also, the criminals controlled the freedom of movement of citizens and imposed fines for minor offenses. All the victims were forced to work for free and kept in terrible conditions.
