Uzbekistan’s MFA has warned its citizens in Russia
The compatriots were urged not to fall for the tricks of fraudsters who offer to quickly and cheaply process documents.
Scammers began offering labor migrants in Russia to quickly and inexpensively process the necessary documents. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country called on compatriots to be vigilant.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan prevented an attempt to obtain a fake certificate of return to the homeland, issued in the name of an Uzbek citizen. A case of presenting a fictitious marriage certificate during the processing of birth certificates was also recorded.
To avoid fraud and unpleasant situations, citizens of Uzbekistan in Russia are asked to process documents without intermediaries and only in authorized state bodies — consulates, embassies, and registry offices.
