Uzbekistan can teach Russia how to fight polygamy

Russia can take advantage of Uzbekistan’s experience in combating polygamy and wearing niqabs, TASS reports, citing Valery Fadeev, head of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.

The specialist said that in Russia, unofficially, but polygamy is common, especially in some regions, and emphasized that this is a real problem.

At the same time, the head of the Russian IPC stated that the secularism of the state in Uzbekistan is carried out very persistently. Valery Fadeev noted that this “may seem strange, but we have something to learn”.
