Uzbekistan and Poland discussed improving the mechanisms for the legal protection of labor migrants and introducing the practice of concluding tripartite agreements, Dunyo reports.
According to the information, Uzbek diplomats met with the Deputy Chief Inspector of the State Labor Inspectorate of Poland, Ursula Langer. During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of protecting the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens temporarily working in Poland, preventing illegal employment, and expanding cooperation and exchanging practical experience.
In addition, the representatives of the two countries discussed the improvement of mechanisms for the legal protection of compatriots, the harmonization of legislation in the field of migration and the introduction of the practice of concluding trilateral agreements, as well as the prospects for signing a bilateral agreement on migration and mobility.
In conclusion, the Polish side was provided with detailed information on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of migration, including the tasks and activities of the Migration Agency. The Polish side confirmed its readiness to develop cooperation and exchange experience in ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek labor migrants.
Earlier, it was reported that Poland was interested in labor migrants from Uzbekistan. Initially, the Polish authorities plan to employ Uzbek citizens in construction, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
