Trump renamed the Pentagon
The official name change will need approval from the US Congress.
US President Donald Trump renamed the Ministry of Defence to the Ministry of War, DW reports.
The American leader remarked that such a name is more suitable given the current global situation. Pentagon chief Pete Hagset stated that renaming the ministry is “not just words, but a restoration of military ethics”.
Maximum mortality, not sluggish legality. Rigid power, not political correctness. We will raise warriors, not just defenders, — he added.
The official name change will require approval from the US Congress. Republican senators Mike Lee, Rick Scott, and Greg Stubb have already submitted the relevant bill. The Democratic Party considers Donald Trump’s initiative expensive and distracting.
