The US contacted the Taliban to stop border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Tasnim News reports.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the US has established contacts to stop border clashes with Pakistan. He added that the clash was short-lived and there was no need for the mediation of great powers.
With the mediation of Qatar and several other countries, a ceasefire was established, and the clashes ceased. Mujahid expressed gratitude to the countries that supported Afghanistan during this period, — the statement said.
Recall that Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to strengthen cooperation between the CIS countries. The President paid special attention to the situation in Afghanistan.
