The US appointed a co-chair of the Business Council with Uzbekistan
Saida Mirziyoyeva heads the structure from the Uzbek side.

US Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gore, has become co-chair of the new American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council, the US Embassy’s press service reports.
According to the information, from the Uzbek side, the new structure was headed by the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva. The new council is planned to be an important step in advancing the economic agenda in Central Asia and creating new opportunities for American workers, innovators, and businesses.
The organization will focus on expanding the investment and export opportunities of the US and Uzbekistan, developing rapidly growing sectors for American technology and human resources, particularly in IT and digital innovation, and creating equal conditions for investors.
Earlier, it was reported that a meeting of the NOC and the Ministry of Sports representatives with the US Ambassador took place in Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of sports, as well as the participation of the delegation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.
