The book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” was presented at the UN headquarters

At the event, the main focus was on the key areas and stages of the country's development.

The book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” was presented at the UN headquarters in New York as part of the country’s delegation’s visit to the USA.

The event was attended by about 100 people — the UN leadership, heads of diplomatic missions, as well as representatives of analytical circles, civil society, and the media. As part of the meeting, the participants of the event were presented with the book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev”, authored by well-known political scientist, senator, and chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Kudratilla Rafikov.

During the presentation, specialists highlighted the key stages of New Uzbekistan’s development. It was emphasized that the transformations being implemented under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev are a long-term, carefully verified strategy aimed at systematic and comprehensive renewal of all spheres of state and public life.

ISRS Director Eldor Aripov also delivered a report, noting that “modern Uzbekistan is characterized not by what it was ten years ago, but by what is being created today: functioning institutions, open borders for trade and contacts, wide access to education, targeted support for socially vulnerable citizens, and strengthening the role of women in society”.

Eldor Aripov also emphasized that the changes in Uzbekistan have given a powerful impetus to the transformation of all of Central Asia, and open, dynamically developing Uzbekistan has become the main driving force of dialogue and partnership in the region.

At the same time, it was noted that the country is not limited to regional initiatives, but strives to make a constructive contribution to the work of the UN, promote the strengthening of peace and sustainable development, and support the reform of the global governance system, aimed at increasing its fairness, effectiveness, and inclusiveness. The head of the SMTI emphasized that such an approach has allowed the country to establish itself as a reliable international partner, sharing the principles of cooperation, dialogue, and collective responsibility.

Within the framework of the book presentation, discussions took place, during which the UN leadership and heads of diplomatic missions recognized that the country’s national reform agenda corresponds to the goals and objectives of the UN, and the political course of the President of Uzbekistan organically resonates with the Organization’s priorities — protecting human rights, promoting the principles of the rule of law, supporting sustainable development, and expanding citizen participation in decision-making processes.

UN Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenča also emphasized that the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev represent “an example of transformation that combines political courage, strategic consideration, and social orientation”. He also noted that the uniqueness of Uzbekistan’s experience lies in its systematic nature: “changes are being implemented simultaneously in all key areas — from public administration and justice to education, healthcare, and digitalization”.
