Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed cooperation in a number of areas.
According to the information, the parties discussed the further development of Russian-Uzbek relations, strategic partnership, and alliance in a number of areas. The leaders of the two countries paid special attention to the implementation of large joint projects, including in the energy sector.
The important role of interregional cooperation in strengthening trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties was noted, as well as the significant practical impact of the meeting of the Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan held in Moscow in October 2025.
The representatives of the two countries also touched upon topical international issues and agreed to continue regular contacts at various levels.
Earlier, it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with US President Donald Trump at the White House. The President of Uzbekistan invited the US leader to visit.
