On October 7, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed pressing issues on the agenda, the presidential press service reports.
During the conversation, the head of state congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being and success, as well as prosperity to the friendly Russian people. In addition, the parties discussed topical issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in the context of practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level.
The dynamics of growth in mutual trade turnover indicators, the promotion of cooperation projects between leading enterprises and companies in industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority areas, the expansion of business cooperation between the regions of the two countries, and the ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchange were noted.
The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda, discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
