Russia without borders: Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation are reviewing entry requirements
The period of free stay without registration can be up to 30 days.

Official Moscow and Tashkent are negotiating to simplify visa requirements, Spot reports.
Now the representatives of the two countries are conducting the necessary internal procedures, coordinating individual aspects. The main possible change is that Uzbek citizens will be able to enter Russia without a foreign passport, a domestic passport or ID card will still be needed. Russian citizens will be able to enter Uzbekistan freely.
It is premature to talk about the project implementation deadlines, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
At the end of May, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that entry requirements for citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan who can enter Uzbekistan for 30 days without a passport would soon be simplified, while it was not specified whether the procedure would be bilateral or unilateral.
In November 2024, the president announced the imminent crossing of the border with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan without a passport, and now this procedure applies bilaterally to Kyrgyzstan. In April of that year, Shavkat Mirziyoyev called on all Central Asian countries to mutually abolish foreign passports.
