Russia proposed to abolish social pensions for migrants

The LDPR party stated that it is time to stop the “free social package” for visitors and thus reduce the burden on the federal budget.

In Russia, they proposed to abolish social pensions for migrants and stop the “free social allowance” for arrivals, Gazeta.Ru reports, citing LDPR party leader Leonid Slutsky.

The party leader stated that the country is currently experiencing a critical moment when every penny is in the account. In this regard, Leonid Slutsky proposed to abolish social pensions for migrants and thus ease the burden on the federal budget.

SPO, social, demographic and other problems — all this requires enormous funds. Here, every penny counts! — emphasized the leader of the LDPR party.

Leonid Slutsky also stated that at such a time, the country can afford to pay pensions to foreigners who have never participated in “building our power” and who “often despise Russia and Russian people”, while Russian pensioners “receive pennies”.

In this regard, the party leader said that it is necessary to abolish the “free social package” for visitors. It is planned that the measure will help protect the pension system from unjustified social obligations and reduce the budget burden.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia might cancel the patent system for migrant employment. The country’s president called the migration sphere “sensitive” for Russians.
