Russia implemented extra state duties for migrants
The decision was taken to bolster migration control.

Starting 1 September, Russia introduced additional state duties related to registration, migration registration, and work permits, TASS reports.
The decision was made to improve migration control. Fees were introduced, including for issuing or re-registering a patent to a foreign citizen or stateless person — 4,200 roubles, and for extending the validity of a work permit — 4,200 roubles.
For issuing a duplicate work permit, making changes to the information contained in the work permit of a migrant or stateless person, or a duplicate patent, you will now also have to pay 2,100 rubles.
To issue duplicates of permits for attracting and employing foreign workers, as well as for making changes to them, it is also necessary to pay 2,100 rubles. Extending the period of temporary stay for a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation requires a fee of 1,000 rubles, and registration at the place of stay costs 500 rubles.
Recall that in Russia, an Uzbek citizen was convicted of creating fake documents for labour migrants. The man received the passports of his compatriots by mail and, using his connections, affixed counterfeit date stamps to them.
