Mirziyoyev supported Trump’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize

On September 23, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Donald Trump held talks at the UN headquarters, right before the President of Uzbekistan’s address at the 80th session of the General Assembly.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Donald Trump on his high achievements in the implementation of domestic and foreign policy. His personal contribution and efforts to the peaceful settlement of acute international and regional conflicts, including the conclusion of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, were especially noted.

Donald Trump supported Uzbekistan’s reforms and called Shavkat Mirziyoyev the great leader of his country. The President of the United States highly appreciated the fruitful results of the meetings and negotiations of the leader of Uzbekistan with the heads of more than 50 major American companies and banks, with the preparation of investment plans and projects worth over 100 billion dollars.

At the end of the talks, Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again invited President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan as soon as possible.

Earlier, Donald Trump called Shavkat Mirziyoyev a “man of his word” amid a deal to purchase 22 Boeing aircraft for eight billion soums.
