In Russia, Uzbek migrants fought at construction site over roof repair dispute
Law enforcement officers detained the suspects, charged them, and arrested them.

In Russia, migrant workers caused a mass fight at one of the construction sites, law enforcement officers opened a case and detained the figures, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and Leningrad region reports.
The incident occurred on September 16th in the courtyard of building 44 on Ligovsky Avenue in St. Petersburg. A group of men from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan engaged in verbal arguments over disagreements regarding roof repairs and the use of building materials. After this, the men continued to resolve the dispute physically, organizing a fight on the territory using reinforcement and wooden sticks.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. During the arrest, one of the participants in the conflict tried to escape in a car and hit one of the law enforcement officers, causing the man to be injured. However, the man’s plan didn’t work out, the guards detained him after a few minutes.
As a result, law enforcement officers brought 11 citizens of three Central Asian countries and one 44-year-old local resident to the department to clarify all the circumstances. Eight of them, including a local resident, were held administratively liable for violating migration laws and four for petty hooliganism.
Additionally, during an additional investigation, law enforcement officers detained 7 more suspects aged 20-50 involved in the incident. Two of them were also held administratively liable by law enforcement officers for violating migration laws, and the others for petty hooliganism.
Earlier, it was reported that in Murino, an Uzbek migrant tried to drag a girl into the forest after an unsuccessful attempt to kiss her. According to preliminary data, the man is not registered in the country, works as a bricklayer at a building site, and resides there.
