The Migration Agency also commented on the incident, stating that a lawyer was sent to the country to protect citizens’ rights.

To protect the rights and interests of our citizens, the Agency’s representative office in Russia has sent a licensed lawyer. “Currently, this case is being investigated within the framework of the current legislation of the Russian Federation”, — the department noted.
