In Russia, Muslims have been banned from engaging in courier delivery of non-halal goods

The Muslim Board explained that responsibility will only arise when one acts consciously.

In Russia, Muslims are prohibited from transporting non-halal goods as couriers, according to the fatwa of the Council of Ulema of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.

According to the information, the goods include alcohol, pork, and other non-halal products. They also prohibited gambling, idols, and objects of pagan worship, as well as the meat of animals slaughtered not according to Islamic rules. At the same time, such goods can be transported for disposal or if the courier did not know about the contents.

If the order includes both permissible and forbidden goods, delivery is permissible, but the courier must give a portion of the earnings as charity. The Muslim Board explained that responsibility arises only when there is a conscious intention to transport the prohibited goods.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia had changed its mind to allowing polygamy. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation appealed to the Council of Ulema of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims.
