A citizen accused of fraud was repatriated to Uzbekistan from Azerbaijan

A compatriot accused of fraud was extradited from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, according to the press service of the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to reports, the 38-year-old woman was sought for offences related to fraud and document forgery. Law enforcement officers detained her.
Following a request from Uzbekistan, the country’s authorities agreed to extradite the offender. The detained woman was handed over to Uzbek authorities by Azerbaijani law enforcement officers accompanied by a special convoy.
Earlier, it was reported that a citizen accused of human trafficking was extradited from Oman to Uzbekistan. The woman was handed over to Uzbek law enforcement officers at Tashkent airport.
