Where are Uzbeks going to travel — statistics
The most popular destinations for travel have become the CIS countries.
Since the beginning of 2025, 5.2 million Uzbekistanis have traveled abroad, with Kyrgyzstan becoming the most popular destination, according to the Statistics Committee.
According to the data, 2.3 million Uzbekistanis visited this country between January and August 2025. In second place is Kazakhstan, which was visited by 956 thousand people. Tajikistan completes the top three with 887,900 tourists from Uzbekistan.
Next among the CIS countries was Russia, which was chosen for travel by 312,700 people. The remaining countries ranked as follows:
- Turkey — 181,7 thousand;
- Saudi Arabia — 165,7 thousand;
- UAE — 94,2 thousand;
- Egypt — 45,4 thousand;
- Vietnam — 28,5 thousand;
- China — 27,6 thousand.
Another 162,400 Uzbekistanis chose other destinations for travel. It is noted that compared to the same period in 2024, the tourist flow increased by 1.1 million people, or by 26.8%.
Earlier, it was reported that foreigners in Uzbekistan could extend their visas online through the state services portal. To apply, you will need to provide a document confirming the grounds for extending the visa.
