Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that Uzbekistan has sufficient resources to suppress the activities of groups exerting pressure on businesses, and noted that individual athletes are also affiliated with such groups, the presidential press service reported.

The country’s leader emphasized that recently, there has been an activity of certain criminal groups in the country that place themselves above the law, exert pressure on entrepreneurs, attempt to seize their businesses, commit complex financial crimes, and cause serious damage to the country’s economy.

Some of them, considering themselves “judges”, arbitrarily resolve financial disputes between people. “It is particularly concerning that in pursuit of easy money, individual athletes with physical strength also join such criminal groups”, the president noted.

The head of state cited the existence of criminal groups consisting of Uzbek citizens abroad as another negative factor. It was noted that their activities negatively affect the international image of the state.

Let everyone hear: we have enough strength to put an end to the activities of such criminal groups, and we will definitely do so.
In Uzbekistan, there is a state, there is a Constitution, and there are laws that reliably protect our citizens, entrepreneurs, and investors under any circumstances, — the president stated.

Earlier, it was reported that Greenhouses in Tashkent and Tashkent region would be connected to centralized heating. Businesses will abandon coal and gas to improve air quality.
