Voting on “Open budget” has concluded in Uzbekistan
Trillions of soums will be allocated for the winners' projects.
According to the voting portal, voting on the “Open budget” for the second season of 2025 has concluded in Uzbekistan.
He gathered over 11 million votes for citizens’ initiatives to repair schools, roads, and other facilities. More than 2,300 projects became winners. According to the Ministry of Finance, nearly 22,300 initiatives were submitted for consideration, of which 18,700 were pre-selected.
According to the voting results, 3.2 trillion soums will be allocated to the winners’ projects. Projects for constructing and repairing internal roads, as well as improving and developing the material and technical base of schools and medical institutions, received the most votes.
As a reminder, “Open budget” projects will no longer be considered for forced voting. The Ministry of Finance took this decision following an incident at a school in the Kuva district, where teachers were compelled to vote. The Ministry also reiterated that citizens who have experienced cases of forced voting can call 71 200-06-00.
