Uzbekistanis will have the opportunity to witness a complete lunar eclipse

Scientists have explained when the astronomical phenomenon will start and finish.

Earth residents will be able to observe a full lunar eclipse on 7th September, according to the Astronomy Institute of the Academy of Sciences.

According to the agency, the eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align in one line, and the Moon’s surface completely falls into the Earth’s shadow. Unlike a solar eclipse, it lasts for quite a long time. The process lasts 1 hour 22 minutes, and the eclipse lasts more than 3 hours.

In Uzbekistan, a partial lunar eclipse will commence on 7 September at 21:27 Tashkent time, while a full lunar eclipse will begin at 22:30. The peak of the total eclipse will occur at 23:11, and it will end at 23:52. The astronomical event will conclude on 8 September at 00:56.

As a reminder, SpaceX can send Uzbekistan’s satellite into space. It will be assembled by young Uzbek engineers from a Japanese university.
