Uzbekistanis were reminded to have documents when driving mopeds and scooters
The innovation comes into force on October 1.

The Road Traffic Safety Department reminded Uzbeks that from October 1, mopeds and scooters will be allowed to drive only after they are officially registered and have an “A” category driver’s license.
The rule will apply to mopeds and scooters operating with an engine working volume from 25 cm³ to 50 cm³ inclusive, as well as with an electric motor power from 0.25 kW to 4 kW inclusive and a design speed from 25 to 50 km/h inclusive.
Drivers were urged to register in advance and comply with the established legal requirements.
Earlier, it was reported that the Association of Individual Vehicle Operators had appeared in Uzbekistan. The platform will analyze the work of operators, protect the interests of market participants, and promote innovations in sustainable urban transport.
