A fraudulent advertisement on behalf of well-known brands has appeared on social media about the promotion, in which it is necessary to take a survey to get a refrigerator for 30 thousand soums. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection.

For example, on behalf of Korinzka, they offered to buy a refrigerator for 27 thousand soums, and on behalf of Coca-Cola — a mini-refrigerator with drinks for 30 thousand soums. To receive the equipment, participants are invited to follow the link and fill out a questionnaire. However, according to the Committee’s information, companies do not conduct such actions, and this scheme has signs of phishing and is aimed at stealing citizens’ personal data and obtaining access to their money.

The agency urges citizens to be vigilant, verify the authenticity of shares only on the official websites of companies, not to click on dubious links, and not to enter bank card details on unverified resources.

Recall that recently, fraudsters were detained in Tashkent who stole nearly 3 billion soums from Uzbeks’ cards by sending a.apk file.
