Uzbekistanis await changes in performing Hajj in 2026
The innovations will affect obtaining visas.

Saudi Arabia stated that in the “Hajj — 2026” season, pilgrims will be able to obtain a visa only if they have a medical certificate issued through the Nusuk platform, according to the press service of the Committee for Religious Affairs.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health has mandated all structures involved in organizing the Hajj to thoroughly check the health of each pilgrim. Medical examination will become a mandatory stage before obtaining a visa. Without a corresponding document, the pilgrim will not be able to formalize the trip.
The list of diseases in which participation in the Hajj is not permitted includes kidney failure requiring dialysis, severe forms of heart and liver failure, chronic lung diseases requiring oxygen support, as well as serious mental and neurological disorders.
In addition, pregnant women in the last trimester, persons with active infectious and oncological diseases will not be allowed to travel. The Ministry of Hajj warned that if the established rules are violated or false information is provided, appropriate measures will be taken.
Earlier, it was reported that one could come to Saudi Arabia for Umrah with any visa. The country’s authorities plan that the new measure will help increase the number of pilgrims.
