Uzbekistan’s snipers won the competition in South Korea

The tasks were carried out both during the day and at night, in urban, mountain, and forest conditions.

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense servicemen once again won first place in the international sniper competition held in South Korea, the Ministry’s press service reports.

The competition took place from September 8 to 15 in Gwangju. 54 teams from 10 countries participated in the event. The tournament included a wide range of special tactical exercises – from shooting from long distances and firing from inconvenient hiding places to secretly advancing along the azimuth and applying tactical medicine.

The tasks were carried out both during the day and at night, in urban, mountain, and forest conditions. According to the results of the tournament, the Uzbek team scored 539.5 points and took first place among foreign countries. Second place went to Vietnam (534.7 points), third to the USA (519 points).

Particular attention at the tournament was paid to long-distance angle shooting, conducting fire in non-standard situations, working in conditions of strong physical and psychological exertion, fast shooting from pistols and automatic rifles, as well as shooting from moving equipment and aircraft. A year ago, Uzbek snipers also participated in this competition and took second place. Upon their return, the winners were solemnly welcomed at the Tashkent International Airport.

As a reminder, Uzbek snipers won first place in an international competition held in Turkey. The participants competed in 15 conditions of increasing difficulty.
