Uzbekistan plans to produce 10 million tons of coal for the current autumn-winter season
The President instructed the authorities to ensure a guaranteed supply of coal to the population throughout the season.

In the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026, the authorities plan to extract 10 million tons of coal, the presidential press service reports.
To achieve this goal, specialists have strengthened the material and technical base of the enterprises of the “Uzbekcoal” joint-stock company, as well as created conditions for the activities of additional producers in the industry. The president also instructed the authorities to ensure a guaranteed supply of coal to the population throughout the season.
In addition, the importance of modernizing enterprises and launching new production capacities, reducing production costs through the development of market principles and competition in the industry was noted. Specialists also presented new investment projects to the country’s leader in the uranium industry, expanding the scope of geological exploration work, and introducing modern technologies.
Earlier, it was reported that a headquarters for round-the-clock monitoring of lighting, gas, and heating in winter had appeared in Tashkent. The working group will also address citizens’ complaints.
