Uzbekistan has allocated over a thousand grants for private and foreign universities
The students were told when they will open the registration and conduct the test exams.
Uzbekistan has approved 1,320 state grants for foreign and private universities for the 2025/2026 academic year, according to the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
Registration will be open from September 29 to October 5, 2025 (inclusive). Certain foreign and non-state universities will be able to register applicants. Registration is carried out at the university and in the field of study. This applies to applicants recommended for study on a paid-contract basis.
Testing will be conducted for registered applicants until October 12, 2025. Based on the test results, a list of applicants is formed, with strict adherence to the sequence of scored points. By October 17, 2025, the list will be transferred to the relevant universities for processing.
In addition, it is possible to participate in the selection process for bachelor’s degrees at state universities for the 2025/2026 academic year. This opportunity is provided to applicants who have registered and passed the entrance exams but were not recommended for study.
A condition for participation is the correspondence of the scores, subject sets, and language of instruction to the chosen bachelor’s degree program. Also, for applicants recommended for admission to state universities of the republic on a paid-contract basis, the deadline for payment of at least 25% of the established amount has been extended until October 30, 2025.
For applicants with at least 5 years of work experience in economic sectors and accepted on the basis of a corresponding recommendation and interview, the tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic year for bachelor’s degree programs and forms are set at 2 times the base tuition fee,” the statement said.
The basic tuition fee for one year of study at universities has also been announced. The minimum payment will be 7.4 million soums. Maximum — 11.25 million soums in the areas of World Politics, International Economics, and Jurisprudence.
As a reminder, funding for universities will depend on the scores. The establishments will be able to receive them in several categories.
