Uzbekistan has accelerated the process of issuing some transit permits
At the same time, the authorities extended the validity period of the issued permit to 90 days.

Uzbekistan has simplified the process of issuing permits for the transit of special cargo and military formations through the country’s territory, Norma reports.
According to the information, this procedure will now be carried out within 20 days, whereas previously it took about a month to issue permits. However, it is noted that if specialists need additional inspections and documents, the issuance period may be extended by another 10 days. At the same time, the authorities extended the validity period of the issued transit permit from the current 30 to 90 days.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan approved a work plan for the construction of railways for 2025, and during the negotiations, the parties discussed the development of transport cooperation and summarized the joint work over the past year. The representatives of the two countries paid special attention to the prospects for the development of the Trans-Afghan transport corridor and expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.
