Uzbekistan experienced one of the driest and warmest Septembers
In some areas, precipitation exceeded the monthly norm.

Forecasters explained that September 2025 turned out to be one of the warmest and driest autumn months in Uzbekistan, according to the press service of the Hydrometeorological Center.
Experts described the past September as quite warm, without sharp temperature fluctuations. It is noted that the prevailing air temperature in most of the country was within comfortable limits of 29-34 degrees, on the hottest days in some places up to 35-37, in the south of the republic up to 38-40 degrees.
In the second half of September, short-term temperature drops were observed. Thus, at night and in the morning hours, the air temperature decreased to 9-14 degrees, and during the day did not exceed 23-26 degrees, and in the extreme south 29-31 degrees. The average monthly air temperature was 1.2-2.3 degrees above normal, in some places in the north near normal.
It is noted that September 2025 entered the top three for the south and the Fergana Valley, and the top five for the central regions of the country for the entire historical series of meteorological observations. Additionally, experts described the first month of autumn as extremely dry.
In most of Uzbekistan, it either did not rain at all, or traces of rain were observed. In Karakalpakstan alone, the amount of rainfall in September exceeded the monthly norm by 2-3 times, and in some areas by 4-7 times. Also, in the north, south, and desert zone, less frequently in the central regions of the country, wind intensification was observed to 13-18 m/s, in Ustyurt up to 22 m/s. In some areas, wind intensification with dust was noted, with occasional dust haze.
Thus, on September 22, dust clouds came from the desert regions of Uzbekistan and southern Kazakhstan, and together with the front of the cold invasion, covered Tashkent. As a result, visibility decreased to 4 km. It is noted that fog and the resulting increased air pollution levels persisted in Tashkent for about a day.
Earlier, it was reported that in October, Uzbekistanis will face autumn cooling. Weather forecasters also predict increased precipitation.
