Trump’s special representative to arrive in Uzbekistan

US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau will visit Uzbekistan, the US State Department’s press service reported.
According to the information, they will meet with government representatives to discuss a wide range of economic and security issues.
The United States will continue to cooperate with our Central Asian colleagues to strengthen relations and expand trade relations. We are counting on the expansion of bilateral cooperation between our countries and celebrating the tenth anniversary of partnership between the US and Central Asian countries within the framework of the C5+1 diplomatic platform, — the State Department stated.
Earlier, it was reported that the US would invest several billion dollars in Uzbekistan’s energy sector. During the negotiations, the parties reached major agreements.
