Those released on parole will be monitored
Deputies approved the amendments.

In Uzbekistan, it is planned to require citizens released on parole to appear for registration with regulatory bodies, the press service of the Legislative Chamber reports.
The authorities have developed a draft law aimed at improving the mechanisms for monitoring such individuals. In particular, it is planned to obligate persons released on parole to periodically appear for registration with regulatory bodies, which should create opportunities for establishing systematic and effective control over such citizens.
The draft law also establishes the procedure and grounds for exercising probationary supervision over persons released from serving a sentence on parole, as well as the procedure for submitting proposals to the court to impose additional obligations on them. In addition, it regulates the procedure for their re-admission to serve a sentence in the event of violation of supervisory requirements, including the release of a person from certain duties.
It is planned that the new procedure will contribute to the further strengthening of the legal foundations of the probation system and create an opportunity for the effective organization of its activities. It was emphasized that this is important for ensuring public order and safety, forming a respectful attitude towards the law among citizens, and preventing repeated crimes.
After discussion, the deputies adopted the draft law in the first reading, and before the document comes into force, it will have to pass two more readings in the Legislative Chamber, be approved by the Senate, and be signed by the president.
Earlier, it was reported that criminal liability for minors would be mitigated in Uzbekistan. The senators hope that such conditions will create conditions for continuing life without the stigma of conviction.
