Those in custody or pretrial detention will be able to take more walks during the holidays
The possibility of increasing the amount of funds allowed for the purchase of products and essential items is also being discussed.

In Uzbekistan, it was proposed to grant persons held in custody or in pre-trial detention centers the right to additional walks on holidays, the press service of the Legislative Chamber reports.
The Human Rights Commissioner made a corresponding proposal. In particular, it is proposed to provide such citizens with the right to additional outdoor walks on holidays, to receive clothing and footwear from close relatives and other persons.
The proposal also included an increase in the amount of funds allocated for monthly purchases of food products and essential goods. It is planned that the draft law will serve to increase the effectiveness of correctional labor in relation to persons held in custody, as well as to bring national legislation in line with international experience. The deputies approved the idea.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan wants to ban the sale of weapons to family tyrants. The authorities also plan to establish a procedure under which internal affairs officers will temporarily seize weapons from individuals who have committed violence against children.
