There will be parking lots in Tashkent for trucks during peak hours
All amenities for heavy truck drivers will be provided in the recreation areas.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with a project for the construction of bus stations and parking lots for trucks arriving in Tashkent and adjacent districts.
They will be located near five traffic police checkpoints — “Erkin”, “Sharq”, “Bektemir”, “Uch Qahramon”, and “Turbanov”. Recreation areas for drivers are also provided here. For some facilities, 7.7 hectares, 4.25 hectares, and 8 hectares of land will be allocated. The most busy post was named “Erkin” in Sergeli district. 40−50 thousand cars enter and exit through it daily.
Interior Minister Aziz Tashpulatov said that the movement of trucks in the capital will be restricted during peak hours.
You gave permission to restrict truck traffic during peak hours in Tashkent. We impose restrictions in the morning. In addition to buses, we want to build campsites for trucks. For example, if a truck leaves Samarkand and arrives at 8:00, it can wait in the parking lot for three hours and then enter the city. Then we can easily restrict movement in the morning and evening. At other times, the trucks will be able to move freely, — he said.
Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov also clarified that work on the project will begin in 2025, and construction will begin in early 2026. The President instructed to allocate the necessary funds.
More than 400 thousand cars enter Tashkent daily, and more than 1 million people travel to and from the city. The lack of a systematic public transport, he emphasized, hinders movement and contributes to traffic jams, — said the khokim.
As a reminder, checkpoints at city entrances and exits in Tashkent will be moved to prevent traffic jams. The Tashkent city administration presented updated plans for creating infrastructure for bus lanes in the capital. According to them, the BRT system will be built on 10 streets, their total length will be about 51 kilometers.
