Another 182 children in Tashkent region remain hospitalized due to poisoning in kindergartens, according to Nurmat Atabekov, First Deputy Chairman of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

The department representative said that the investigation confirmed the diagnosis in all patients — acute gastroenteritis. The specialist also said that currently, the condition of most of the affected children is assessed as stable, with many showing positive dynamics.

Even children who were previously in moderate condition show improvement. There are no seriously ill patients. Most importantly, the treatment of all children is under state control. The recovery rate remains positive, — a representative of the Ministry of Health noted.

It should be noted that law enforcement agencies detained seven people after the mass poisoning of children in Tashkent region’s kindergartens. Three of the detainees are heads of a food industry enterprise, whose products, according to preliminary data, were the cause of the poisoning. Earlier, it was reported that Shark Milk company kefir was suspected.

Another four people are heads of outsourcing companies that supplied food products to kindergartens. The criminal case was transferred from the jurisdiction of the regional Department of Internal Affairs directly to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
