The work of the “mahalla seven” will be evaluated in Uzbekistan

Employees who have shown themselves throughout the year will be encouraged and rewarded.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the work of the “mahalla seven”, noting that half of their working hours are spent on events and meetings, and proposed to create a system for assessing the effectiveness of their work, the presidential press service reports.

The country’s leader said that currently, 1,700 members of the “mahalla seven” are forced to go to work, which is 20-30 km away from mahallas. As a result, in 2024, 68 representatives of the department did not visit the united mahalla for several months. The president also noted the lack of a system for assessing the overall effectiveness of the “seven” in mahallas with specific tasks and key performance indicators for employees.

In this regard, responsible persons were instructed to implement such a system. Thus, it is planned to reward, including with the help of bonuses, the khokims of districts who will show themselves well throughout the year. It is planned that this will help the “mahalla seven” to work as one. Furthermore, it will now be prohibited to hold separate meetings for each area.

Earlier, it was reported that the “mahalla seven” would begin reporting to residents. Reports will be heard quarterly until the tenth of the following month.
