The weather in Tashkent continues to deteriorate

The capital once again entered the top 10 most dirty cities in the world.

On September 16, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 32 μg/m³, exceeding the WHO recommended value by 6.4 times, according to IQAir data.

Thus, as of 08:00, the content of ozone pollutants and PM10 in the air of Tashkent did not exceed the maximum permissible values. At the same time, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 exceeded the WHO norm by 6.4 times. Air quality is rated as average. In the ranking of the world’s most polluted air, the capital took 8th place.

It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
