The territorial subdivisions of nine ministries will be transferred to the management of khokimiyats
By the end of 2026, this practice is planned to be extended throughout the country.

In Uzbekistan, khokimiyats will be able to manage the activities of territorial subdivisions of some ministries and agencies, UzA reports.
According to the information, authorities will implement the new procedure by the end of 2026 in 32 districts and cities of the country. It is noted that currently, responsible bodies are developing a corresponding draft presidential decree on improving the activities of administrations.
In particular, it is planned to transfer the territorial subdivisions of 9 ministries and departments to the structure of khokimiyats:
- Ministry of Economy and Finance;
- Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade;
- Ministry of Agriculture;
- Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction;
- Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services;
- Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change;
- Ministry of Culture;
- Committee of Family and Women;
- Youth Affairs Agency.
It is noted that the khokimiyats will independently determine the number of staff positions for these subdivisions, as well as appoint and dismiss employees and apply incentive or disciplinary measures to them.
Earlier, it was reported that employees of the khokimiyat will be paid more. Their work front will also be expanded.
