The start date of winter break for schoolchildren has been announced
Primary school students will rest one day longer.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, winter break for general education schools will begin on December 28, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education’s press service reported.
According to the government’s resolution of March 15, 2017, №140, holidays for primary school students (grades 1-4) will begin on December 27 (Saturday). The holiday will last until January 10, 2026 inclusive — a total of 14 calendar days. Since January 11 falls on Sunday, classes for the third quarter will begin on January 12, 2026.
It is worth noting that the concept of “Safe Education” will be implemented in Uzbekistan. Schools and training centers will be equipped with security systems, alarm buttons, and video surveillance. In addition, patrol units of the Department of Security will be created in areas with a high level of crime, tourist attractions, and places of mass recreation.
