The President appointed the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education
The head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education has also been replaced.
Uzbekistan has appointed new Deputy Ministers of Higher Education, Preschool and School Education, and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, according to a presidential decree.
According to the document, Sardor Rajabov was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. Previously, he served as Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education. Bakhtiyor Yuldashev was appointed as head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
Previously, Yuldashev served as Vice-Rector at the “New Uzbekistan” University. Azizbek Turdiev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education. Before his appointment, he was an advisor to the Minister.
Recall that earlier, the president dismissed all deputy ministers of higher education, science, and innovation. Shavkat Mirziyoyev observed that officials still have not fully understood the core of educational reforms.
