The position of Hokim’s Advisor on Digitalization and AI will be introduced in Uzbekistan

The position of khokim’s advisor on digitalization and AI will be introduced in the cities and districts of Uzbekistan, the presidential press secretary reports.

According to the information, within the framework of the meeting on the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the regions and industries, the authorities proposed to create a corresponding position. All ministries and khokimiyats were instructed to create a separate unit for the development of artificial intelligence.

It is planned that this unit will be engaged in finding solutions to increase labor efficiency and service quality, reduce unnecessary costs, as well as measures to combat the shadow economy and bureaucracy in the regions using AI forces.

In addition, the ministers and deputy heads responsible for digitalization in their areas will now also be engaged in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in their areas. Also, the authorities plan to launch a rating system for assessing the implementation of AI in ministries and regions in 2026.

Earlier, it was reported that those who do not speak the state language will be able to speak Uzbek thanks to AI. Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures for the further development of the state language.
