According to the Center for Licensing and Accreditation of Medical Organizations, 1,329 private clinics in Uzbekistan received a license to start operations in 2025.
According to the information, Tashkent became the leader in the number of new clinics — 251 clinics were opened there. In second place is Fergana region — 169 clinics, in third place is Samarkand region, where 129 new private institutions appeared. Further, the section by region turned out to be as follows:
- Andijan region — 121;
- Kashkadarya region — 117;
- Tashkent region — 95;
- Bukhara region — 91;
- Namangan region — 74;
- Khorezm region — 71;
- Surkhandarya region — 62;
- Karakalpakstan — 54;
- Navai region — 50.
It is noted that there is significant potential for further development of the private medical sector, attracting investments, and expanding the coverage of services in Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions, where 30 and 15 clinics have opened respectively. Currently, there are more than 9 thousand private medical institutions operating in the country.
Earlier, it was reported that since the beginning of 2025, Uzbeks have spent 16.5 trillion soums on medical services. Tashkent residents received the most healthcare services, while Navoi region residents received the least.
