The Foreign Minister met with the new French Ambassador to Uzbekistan

Bakhtiyor Saidov noted that Uzbek-French relations have reached a new level.

On 4 September, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque.

During the meeting, the parties observed that Uzbek-French relations have gained momentum and reached a new level. Cooperation spans a wide range of areas — from economics and investment to science, education, tourism, and culture.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister wished the Ambassador success and fruitful work in Uzbekistan, expressing confidence that his activities will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and expanding practical cooperation between Tashkent and Paris.

Recall that on August 14, the president received the French Ambassador Aurelia Bouchez, who is completing her diplomatic mission in the country. Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded her for her contribution to developing friendly relations. The diplomat expressed deep gratitude to our country’s leader and sincerely thanked him for his comprehensive support.
