In the Bukhara region, doctors successfully performed the first liver transplant, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
A resident of the Alat district had suffered from liver cirrhosis for several years. When he didn’t know what to do and where to go, the branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care in Bukhara region offered him help. The complex operation was carried out directly at the branch. His wife acted as a donor.
The operation lasted about 10 hours. It was attended by transplantologists Jasur Sobirov of the National Medical Center and foreign doctor Samon Nekikhboliyon, along with surgeons from Bukhara. Currently, the patient and donor are in satisfactory condition. They continue the necessary treatment under the supervision of qualified specialists.
Recall that in Samarkand, a young man swallowed 200 grams of nails and tongs. The doctors urgently removed foreign objects from the patient’s body.
