The end of autumn was abnormally dry and warm

The amount of precipitation was less than the norm.

Forecasters reported that the last month of autumn turned out to be abnormally dry and very warm.

According to the information, the temperature in November did not correspond to the usual climatic regime. Thus, the first ten days of November turned out to be the coldest — 1-4 degrees below normal. At the peak of the decade, the nighttime air temperature in most of the territory dropped to 1-6 degrees below zero, in some places in the north to 9-11 degrees below zero.

The second and third decades of the month were warm. At the same time, the northwestern regions of Uzbekistan were the warmest compared to the climatic norm. In Karakalpakstan, Khorezm region, and the north of Navoi region, November 2025 entered the top three warmest noyabres, with temperatures 2-4 degrees higher than the norm for all years of meteorological observations.

At the same time, the highest values of air temperature were noted in the middle of the month. During the day, the air warmed up to 19-22°C, in the extreme south and in some areas of Karakalpakstan up to 23-25°C. In November of last year, the maximum, and especially the minimum, temperatures were far from their extreme values. According to forecasters, the last month of autumn turned out to be abnormally dry. On November 4-5, rain fell across the republic.

In Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya regions, and in the foothill and mountainous areas of Kashkadarya region, rainfall was moderate in intensity, and in some areas even heavy. Until the end of the month, dry weather persisted throughout Uzbekistan. Overall, the monthly precipitation amounted to less than 15% of the monthly norm in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Surkhandarya regions, and the Fergana Valley regions.

In terms of these regions, last November was among the top five driest Novembers in all years of observations. In the rest of the republic, precipitation ranged from 20% to 50% of the norm. In mountainous areas, precipitation was observed in the form of snow on November 4-5 and an unstable snow cover was formed, which completely melted with the increase in air temperature.

The average autumn season of 2025 was warm and very dry. The average seasonal temperature in autumn was 1-2 degrees warmer than normal. A distinctive feature of autumn was a significant shortage of precipitation. In most of the country, precipitation ranged from 2% to 35% of the season’s norm. It is noted that this autumn was among the top five driest autumn seasons in the entire observation period.
