Uzbekistan plans to transition its economy to a model of technological and innovative growth, the presidential press service reports.
According to the head of state, in today’s conditions, when competition in the world is constantly intensifying, only states that produce products with high added value can take a worthy place in the world market. Therefore, achieving high efficiency in all sectors of the economy should become the main focus of future reforms.
For example, thanks to the development of high-tech and energy-efficient industries in industry, fuel and energy consumption for the production of one dollar of products was reduced by 13% in 2025.
To increase GDP to more than $240 billion by 2030, the most correct path is to transition all industries to a technological and innovative growth model. This direction has been defined as the main course of the economic development strategy for the coming years, — the report says.
Recall that the president announced the name of 2026. The new stage will focus on the people of Uzbekistan.
